Björn Kagel

Björn has been working for immergutrocken e.V., the non-profit organization behind Immergut Festival, since 2009. As a member of the board, he is in charge of booking, sponsoring, communication, finance and controlling. The Immergut Festival, founded in 2002, is considered as the prelude to the festival season in Germany, and a place of yearning for all indie/rock music and festival-culture lovers. The Immergut Festival co-founded the Festival Alliance Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Björn studied Business Administration (B.A.), and Nonprofit-Management and Public Governance (M.A.) at the HWR HTW Berlin, ESSCA Budapest, ZHAW Zurich and HSLU Lucerne. He worked as a project manager and head of controlling/finance at Initiative Musik for over six years, as administration and finance manager for transmediale festival and currently as chieff of staff at Deutsche Stiftung für Engagement und Ehrenamt.

Seit 2009 ist Björn beim immergutrocken e.V., dem ehrenamtlichen und gemeinnützigen Verein hinter dem Immergut Festival, tätig und als Vorstandsmitglied u.a. für die Bereiche Booking, Sponsoring, Kommunikation, Finanzen und Controlling federführend verantwortlich. Das seit 2000 bestehende Immergut Festival gilt als Auftakt der Festivalsaison in Deutschland und Sehnsuchtsort für alle Liebhaber*innen von Indie- /Rock-Musik und Festivalkultur. Das Immergut Festival ist Mitbegründer des Festival- Bündnis Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Björn studierte Business Administration (B.A.) und Nonprofit-Management und Public Governance (M.A.) an der HWR HTW Berlin sowie an der ESSCA Budapest, der ZHAW Zürich und HSLU Luzern, arbeitete sechs Jahre bei der Initiative Musik gGmbH als Projektmanager und Leiter des Bereichs Controlling/Finance sowie als Administration and Finance Manager bei der transmediale. Aktuell ist er Vorstandsreferent bei der Deutschen Stiftung für Engagement und Ehrenamt.
