Johanna Bauhus, label boss, musician, manager, event organizer, expert for safer spaces concepts and product designer, founded Ladies&Ladys Label in 2016, the “first officially sexist music label in the world”. Since then, she and her team have been fighting sexism in the music industry and developed Germany’s first gender-sensitive music contract with anti-sexism clauses. In 2019, she co-founded “Safe The Dance”, an awareness, diversity and inclusion agency, giving workshops and turn events into “safer spaces”, including a university teaching position (Diversity and Awareness in Culture and Society – Let’s be the Change, HCU Hamburg). In 2022, together with the Band “Kochkraft durch KMA” and her label Ladies&Ladys, she conceived and implemented the project “Cock Am Ring”, a charity sampler and a two-day FLINTA+* festival in Münster – for which she was able to win Germany’s Minister of State for Culture Claudia Roth as patron. She is also the bass player and manager of “Wenn einer lügt dann wir”.
