Daniel Schneider recently moved from the culture and events industry to federal politics as a career changer. The co-founder of the DEICHBRAND Festival on the North Sea, which attracts over 55,000 visitors a year, previously spent 16 years as managing director of ESK Events, where he was responsible for marketing and programming. After successful direct election in the electoral district 29 Cuxhaven/Stade, the cultural organizer is now a member of the 20th German Bundestag and, as a Social Democrat, a member of the traffic light coalition. Once the coalition negotiations have been concluded, Schneider intends to get involved primarily in the Committee for Culture and Media.
