Anna Groß, an event and artist* manager with a fem* focus and active in political education since 2002, helped establish the feminist label Springstoff from Berlin and works as a consultant for the MaLisa Foundation for more gender equality and diversity in the music industry.
Since its founding in 2016, the MaLisa Foundation has been advocating for social diversity and overcoming limiting role models in media and culture, with a focus on gender representation in audiovisual media and music. The foundation initiates studies, promotes networking and collaboration among relevant actors*, and the development and implementation of joint solutions: malisastiftung.org.
In 2022, the MaLisa Foundation, in cooperation with Music S Women* and GEMA, conducted the research “Gender in Music – Charts, Works and Festival Stages”, which focuses on the gender distribution of authors in charts and reported works as well as of musicians on festival stages.
